Death of a Doll

The client wanted a book cover that was bold, but clean. A cover that is at the same time unsettling, sinister, but not violent (explicitly). Big inspiration for this cover was drawn from Alfred Hitchcock movie posters ( Vertigo, Psycho, The Birds). Background was used to add context to the cover and comunicate a little more of the story to the readers.

 

The crime / mystery mood was set through use of contrasting colors.
